
3rd and 4th Grade students invited their families to the Annual Author’s Tea. Students read stories to friends and family that they have written this past school year in English class. Handmade one-of-a-kind books and Tea pots w/ cups created in art class were also included.

K indergarten through Sixth Grade will present their theatrical interpretation of the story “How Fischer Went to the Skyland: The Origin of the Big Dipper.
Students have been working with Guest Artists Wendy Knox and Emily Zimmer creating tableau’s – frozen pictures – of the story with their bodies and facial expressions. After school students have written original imagined tales building their story telling skills. All will be presented on Wednesday, May 28th in the AlBrook Gym, 2PM. Everyone welcome.
Wendy Know is the Director at Frank Theatre, Mpls. Emilyis a profession actress, often working with Wendy at the Frank Theatre. Both artists work with the Neighborhood Bridges Program through the Children’s Theatre in MPls. using storytelling and creative drama to help children develop their critical literacy skills to the public schools.
